Back on the road and traffic to LA was EPIC! As we drove into Hollywood Boulevard it was hard to miss the huge amount of smog that filled the air. We parked our car and headed down the sunset strip with all the stars in the ground. We had a good old gander at all our favourite actors and musicians and I was quite excited to find out that my hands are exactly the same size as Julie Andrews, weird!?! We walked around a bit and saw your classic Darth Vader impersonator and a whole bunch of other crappy looking costumes.

We had a quick burrito and I decided we had to do a tour of the Hollywood stars homes. It was definitely cheese, but I loved some good cheddar so off we went. Our tour guide was horrible, within the first few seconds of our open style truck ride we wanted to get off. To be fair we saw some the place where they shot Pretty Woman, we got to see Rodeo Drive and Christina Aguilera's house! We also got to see the classic Hollywood sign. It was 2 hours long and our driver had a case of ‘must talk all the time even when I have nothing to say’ syndrome. I could tell how bored Holly was by this man when she started making fun of him while the tour went on, it was more interesting that the tour itself! Once he dropped us back we felt sad that we would never get those 2 hours back but I knew it would be cheese before we even got on the tour.

Dinner was at a place called Rosco’s Chicken and Waffles, as the name suggests it couples the idea of chicken and waffles?! Holly and I passed on this idea and stuck with the chicken. Afterwards we drove to our accommodation and got checked in. I looked outside and noticed the sun was about to set. Our hotel was pretty much next to Venice beach so I made Holly and Adam come with me before we could drop our bags off up to the room to take some photos before the sunset. This idea was met with little enthusiasm as Holly was still exhausted from the massive day before and just wanted to lie down for a bit. I wasn’t having a bar of it and forced everyone to smile for the camera and we took some lovely shots on venice pier with Santa Monica pier in the background while the sunset. We went and explored Santa Monica pier after this but as it was a Tuesday and after 7pm, most things were closed so we went home and had some well earned zzzz’s.
