I say that because of the next 3 weekends, we are in Columbo watching Sri Lanka beat england at the cricket ( the test will be whether Caroline can get past 10 mins without getting bored), the team are here the following weekend, and the weekend after that, I will be somewhere over turkey on my way home.

Yesterday it was rediculously wet, so the only venturing we did was to go to food city, where I gave in to the chocolate temptation. In my defence it wasn't my fault. Caroline was wanting to get something for one of the teachers who was doing her a favour, and walked up and down the chocolate ailse about 6 times. Then she pointed out that there was teh Milka chocolate (everyone knows that one. in a purple wrapper and the nicest chocolate ever..)Anyway, before I knew it I was at teh checkout purchasing said chocolate. I think that 9 weeks without chocolate was good going though!

Today went to church for our second last service. Was nice, though I had to sit on the floor. Still there were kids there who kept me entertained by constantly pointing at Andy and asking his name and as far as i could tell doing homework!!?! At Sunday School the children learnt about Jesus arriving in Jerusalem and tossing the market people out of the temple. The class I usually have only normally has 3 in it. Today there were 8!!

Was planning on going to lunch after watching teh racing, but as Mr. Hamilton messed it up big style, Went early and discovered that they had laid on a buffet at the Oasis in recogtion of it being our last time there. Actually that isn't true. I have no idea why there was a buffet but it was delicious.. though i learnt a lesson, possibly 9 weeks too late but useful all the same. Was shovelling food into my mouth nammering away about nonsence to Andy and Caroline. Saw Caroline pull a green chillie out of her dinner. At precisly that moment I bit into something and swallowed. The sensation that followed is what I can only think putting a lump of coal in your mouth, lighting it, then pouring in petrol to finish it off feels like. You may remember that in an effort to endere myself to my sri lankan hosts, I tried a slip of chillie (literally a nibble off the end of one) and nearly died at the beginning of my trip. Then I was expecting it . This time a whole chillie.. not expecting it. There was a pool outside and I was very very close to jumping in and drinking as much as I could. Never had  I had such a feeling. And never do I want to again! Lesson- always keep eyes on the plate and less chit chat!
