Up the coast to Geraldton, and another campsite (see how my back copes tonite, eh?)
We stayed at the Sunset Beach Holiday Park, a beautiful site right next to the beach and not far from town.
Great facilities again, and the tent went up even quicker this time!
After setting up, we drove around town to the WA Natural History Museum, on the Batavia Coast Marina, went to see the HMAS Sydney Memorial (a domed monument of 645 seagulls signifying each life lost in WW2 during a battle with the German raider "Kormoran" off the WA coast.
We then drove on to Point Moore Lighthouse (the only one of it's kind in Oz that made us feel like we were actually somewhere on the coast of England!)
The aquatic centre was closed (no swimming after 3pm indoors it seems!) so we headed to the beach and did a bit of snorkeling. From there we walked back to the car and were lucky enough to see some dolphins frolicking in the surf (although at first I thought I coud see a sharks fin - much to Paula's delight, I realised my mistake quite quickly!)
A few photo's later and we headed back to the campsite. Red wine on the beach while watching the sun set was the order of the day! It's not a bad life really - I may even get used to the camping thing... Quite fancy a hotel room soon though!
