Well, it had to happen. Another touch season comes to an end with the closing of the University semester. While we didn't win both out finals games, we managed to come a very respectable 6th out of 13 teams, just one place away from the heights we reached last term.

Luckily the sadness of an ending season was tempered by the starting of a league elsewhere (Southern Touch league on Manning Road) on a Wednesday night and also the invitation to help out with Nathan's touch team at Rosalie Park on a Thursday night... Even better with the end of a touch season coems the opportunity to get everyone together, pick a restaurant, purchase plenty of BYO booze and have a great end of season wrap up night!

Our venue of choice was Mykonos Restaurant (again I know, but it is great, the food is incredible and being BYO and just across for the Queens Hotel, it doesn't get much better!

A great night was had by all, as I'm sure the photographs show. I don't believe that there was any gossip or scandal from the evening, although my recollections from the end of the night are slightly 'fuzzy' so I may have missed some things. I'm reliably informed that no one misbehaved, although would they tell if they had?!? Hmmm...

Work-wise it's been another hectic time, with visits from the company President, regional Vice President and a few other high up folks keeping us on our best behaviour - in amongst which we finally got confirmation on a large order - kinda making my year really! :o) An upcoming trip to Singapore is probably the most exciting thing happening office-wise at the moment, but you never know - all might change at any moment!

I'm back playing squash, and although I'm being beaten by all comers, I'm sure I'll get better and soon be repaying the 'favours!' Games at UWA and the new Next Generation Gym in Kings Park have been squeezed in between Boot Camp, Touch Rugby, some golf and even the occasional relaxing sit down here and there! (Oh, and work of course!)

Last weekend was the Red Bull Air Race here in Perth, but after sitting in the office all week building up to the event listening to the planes swoop and dive around the city I was very, very bored by the whole affair by race time so actually gave it a body swerve (hence the lack of photographs!), instead spending the weekend on the beach (Cott on Saturday) and off on a picnic on Sunday (Point Walter, near Freo)... Much more relaxing and enjoyable.

Back into the office as spring temperatures rise to 30 degrees and above - expect the weekend to be 32 and even up to 36 degrees on the Monday - thank God I've installed aircon in the house! Heh, heh, heh...
