Well after about 24 hours of planes, trains and automobiles we were both tired and excited in San Diego. We had a great flight that departed and arrived on time which surprised me because of the peak Christmas season. After slipping through US Customs with nothing extra in our baggage we had a scenic 3 hour drive to Mark's relatives house. We enjoyed a home cooked meal and some great Californian wine and got some much needed sleep.
Saturday enjoyed a slow morning catching up with family. Mark's uncle then decided it was now of never that Mark discovered foreign driving. So with some dutch courage Mark under took the roads of the US in his new found American pick up truck. After a slow trip down the coast we ended up at Torry Pines National Park. Boasting beautiful views up and down the coast, we enjoyed a short walk through the park. It was then off to the mall and this let mark brush up on parking. Driving is quite the challenge when under taken on the wrong side of the road. Enjoying relaxing in front of the TV but even thats a challenge because there is about 300 channels to choose from.
