We arrived in Cusco yesterday and have a couple of days to explore the city. It is a really beautiful place with lots of museums to visit and lots of cafes to relax in. The Inca stone work which forms the basis of many of the buildings is amazing. The Plaza de Armas is simply stunning - the plazas seem to get more beautiful with every place we visit. We went inside the cathedral which neither of us found either beautiful or spiritual in any way. However we did get to see the Last Supper painted by a local artist with a guinea pig as the main dish!

We visited the Museo Inka and tomorrow we will hit the Pre Columbian Art Museum. Then we head off to do the Inca Trail. Please keep your fingers crossed for good weather!
