Its pronounced (we think) Loobliana. We arrived yesterday lunch time and after a slight detour into the city centre in search of the campsite (dam you Lonely Planet for your incorrect directions!) we checked into the Laguna Resort campsite which had to our joy a massive pool complex. I wasn't sure whether we would see the city at all or whether we would just get wrinkly and water logged wallowing in the water.

We did drag ourselves away and caught the bus into town where we walked around the old town and climbed up to the castle. We stopped for a beer in one of the many riverside cafes. One turned into two and we decided to abandon our thrifty eating ways and have supper in town. The river side was buzzing at night with loads of students all out drinking. The surprising thing was the number of people drinking water, orangina and coke... how is the English drinking culture so different?

Today we have done a more extensive tour of the town and this afternoon we will head back for a swim and a BBQ this evening. The campsite organises entertainment every evening. Tonight it is fashion night and tomorrow is "sexy night" so Mark will at last have the opportunity to show off his new leopard print thong!
