After a week and a half on the road, we have made it to Corsica. The sun is shining and the scenery is spectacular - Mountains looming out of the sea with little towns clinging to the coast. The journey through Northern France was very relaxed with stops at Chablis and Avallon. As we headed into the south the temperatures rose, but still not warm enough to ditch the sleeping bags at night! Avignon was stunning and we camped on an island in the river overlooking the city and the bridge - a great location. Next stop was Aix en Provence via some charming provencial hill towns including Gordes (photo attached). Onto the south coast and through Cannes during the tail end of the film festival but did not spot anyone famous unfortunately.
So here we are in Corsica getting used to French camp sites and French wine. We spent the last couple of days on the beach and we are going to head into the mountains for some walking and biking later in the week.
