Hi there,
Bit of a quick update for everyone tonight...
So we left Tullamore in the morning and headed out to a castle called Charlville Castle. We were pretty disapponited cause unfortunately we had to book an appointment to have a tour of the place. None of the tourist brochures said anything about that but nevermind. So we ended up just having a quick walk around and taking a few photos to prove we'd been there.
We headed off late in the morning for the 3 hour drove up to Sligo on the west coast of Ireland. All we can basically say is that everyone should come here at least once in their life and see what an amazing country this really is. Such beautiful countryside. Rolling hills, livestock in the fields and snow capped mountains. Breathtaking.
We did have one incident on the way up here. We turned off at one view point and got some pretty good pictures and decided to stop off at the next one when we saw the sign. Unfortunately it had actually snowed and had left the road a wee bit slippy. I managed to turn the car around but was kinda unable to get enough traction to get up the hill we need to get up. I found it awesome fun sliding the car left and right without the traction control on!!! We did eventually get to the top of the hill and Noma was quite relieved. As for me I wanted to get back down there again!
So we carried on and made it to a retail park where Matty G came and picked us up. We followed him back to their house because it doesn't have an address (!?) which makes it pretty difficult to find if you don't know where you are going!
Matt and Kyle live in an amazing place with rooms all over the place. Every place you turn there is another room to discover! The views of the beach, green fields and the town from the property are sensational. Our room is absolutely amazing, they had even put fresh flowers in a vase for us. It is very much like a lovely hotel. We even have our own couch!
So after a bit of red wine and takeaway for dinner I needed to get to bed to prepare for the next days activities.
So Matt is a member of Sligo County Golf Club and we went for a game today. Such an amazing golf course. I don't think I have played on a more devine place! It's a links style course right on the ocean. Needless to say it was pretty cold but I didn't really feel it cause I bought the right gear for this type of occasion! Lucky for me I had my A game and managed to score 5 over par! Good on me! Unfortunately I didn't take the camera with me. But I don't think I could have used it anyway, as the weather was pretty extreme. At one point when Matt and I were teeing off, the hail was bouncing down fairly heavily and I copped one square in the face. It was super windy as well but I enjoyed every minute of it. I'll get some photos before we leave though!
In comparison Noma had a very realxing day. Coffee in town and playing with the kids in the afternoon. Kyle and Matt made a delicious dinner, a chicken stew with some sensational coconut rice. YUMMY!
Tomorrow we are going to take a drive around to see some of the sites.
Anyway it's quite late right now....9.20pm and I need some sleep. Too much fresh air today I think!
Until next time

Hudson looks so cute in his little snow suit. Love the way his mittens are attached to the sleeves. I bet he wants to get in that front seat and drive.
