Highlights.

Paradise island.
It took an hour long boat ride from Labuan Bajo to get to Seraya island on what was clearly the worst boat in the whole harbour. Half way through we had to stop and fix the engine while the waves made it a fairly uncomfortable ride. As we made our way past a hill the beach came into view, a perfect golden sanded crescent with individual bungalows set at the back of the beach. We checked into our cosy bamboo bungalow (complete with squat toilet and no shower) and enjoyed the views. We rented snorkeling gear and enjoyed exploring the beautiful reef that ran the whole way along the beach. We managed to spot 2 huge turtles and one of our neighbours spotted a shark. Luckily we didn't find this out till the last day! The food was great even better than the mainland which is weird. We watched the sunsets each night followed by some nice cold bintangs! (beers) We even got our own resident gecko included in the price! We will be amazed if we find a more perfect beach than this on the rest of our travels.

Lowlights.

The most grumpiest man alive.
- semi detached bungalow
- no water in the mandi
- no bed sheets on individual bungalow
- no electricity
- no Internet
- no banana pancake only pineapple
- pancake was 'cremated'
- not enough hot water for his pot noodle.
These were an English mans (typical!) complaints we overheard, any yet he only came to the island 1 night before we left. Bearing in mind the island is basic which everyone knows before arriving. He really didn't set a good example for the English!
