In 1989 Marjorie and I spent a month traveling around the Indonesian Island of Bali. Bali has been a tourist magnet for years but still retains some of its old charm. It is a mostly Hindu island in the ocean that is muslim Indonesia. Many of the photographs that appear here were part of a feature story that appeared in a 1990 Sunday Rocky Mountain News travel section. Perhaps I'll post the entire story at a later date.
