Today we got to spend the day in tropical paradise! It was amazingly beautiful at the beach where my aunt Gail took me. I had never seen actual beds on the beach before! There were even sunbeds out in the water that we could wade to. We went to Aura Beach, which is in the small beach town of Juan Dolio to the east of Santo Domingo. Aura is actually a restaurant so when you go to sunbathe and lounge here, just make sure to order some drinks and food. They brought our "Ron Ponch," a delicious tropical fruit punch mixed with Dominican rum, and fish ceviche to our swings out on the beach! I lounged on comfy sunbeds that were actually big swinging beds that day. I enjoyed sitting in the shallow water relaxing while people went horseback riding along the beach. It was heaven!
