Right after I arrived in the beautiful Dominican Republic, my aunt and uncle took me directly to a gorgeous beach called Embassy Beach near the airport. It was packed with people celebrating one of the last days in Semana Santa. We sat in the shade at the restaurant and ordered some delicious ceviches; I ordered a shrimp ceviche. They were excelente and I also got to try my first Presidente, the Dominican beer! It was very refreshing after a long flight from Seattle to Newark to Atlanta to Santo Domingo finally! And not to mention, the humidity was really high and the ice cold cervecita hit just the spot.
