We invited Angela to go with us into town. We parked at the Capitolio, went to the Partagas Cigar factory for a few pictures and then into Havana Vieja. We walked in a pedestrian street with the most shops I have seen in Cuba. We had cocktails at a hotel where Ernest Hemingway stayed a lot (or that is what they claimed) and had lunch at a place Angela suggested which had really good food. After lunch she took us to a big market with stalls where you could buy tourist souvenirs.

On our way home we wanted to drive via the Malecon, but the lanes closest to the sea was closed due to the rough sea that caused the waves to crash over the thick walls on the road.

We went to a evening show with Angela in which her cousin's grandchild was performing. She bought tickets for us in Cuban Pesos. We had to keep quiet at the entrance so that nobody would suspect that we were not locals. As foreigners we would have to pay more. In this theater there were mostly locals. The show was really good with a variety of items, including salsa, cha-cha, modern dancing, ballet, karate, hip hop, traditional slave dances, opera, choirs and an orchestra.

On our last day we just relaxed at Angela’s house and tried to fit everything into our bags. Angela had a dentist appointment for the afternoon, so she organized her cousin to keep us company until we had to leave for the airport. Her cousin and 7-year old grandchild arrived just before lunch. We hade lunch together which was certainly the most quiet lunch we have had. Angela’s cousin does not speak a word english so we just smiled at each other and made some hand signals. After lunch we all browsed through the magazines I left for Angela. The cousin loved Die Weg (like the Getaway), especially the pictures of the modern caravans and the wildlife in South Africa.

At around 16:30 we said our final goodbyes and went to the airport. We had the experience of a lifetime.
