If a room in your house gets messy, you can always go to another room. And if your clothes are dirty, there's usually a closet full to take their place. Not so when you're living out of a truck! So instead of waiting for a laundromat, I decided to take advantage of my campsite having a water faucet.

Ta da, I finally get to try out my new collapsible sink! Just a few caps of Camp Suds and all is right with the world, or at least no longer stinky. I rigged my travel clothesline, pulled out the tiny clothespins, and the Beverly Hillbillies have come to Daingerfield. Later, I pinned up and aired out my sleeping bag and wool blanket.

I also pulled everything out of my truck a section at a time, pared down, rearranged, and cleaned the dirt off the rubber floor mats. I packed two boxes to send home, most being stuff I thought I'd need but don't. My goal is to get so much stuff out of there that I can keep my passenger seat completely empty. As it is now, I've got one bin up there for the small electronics and current map. I don't know if I can move it anywhere and still be handy, but at least it's easy to move whenever I need the space.

I picked up a snazzy collapsible aluminum table at Wal-Mart for <$20. It comes in very handy to use with the laptop, as well as everything else since my chair only holds me and one cup. I can pile on books and magazines, a snack, embroidery, etc., without having to lay it all down on a plastic bag in the dirt. It's only a few inches deep when folded, so it easily stores in the back of the truck.
