Lively R with wake up call at 7 am. Last walk on the beach, breakfast , packing and taxi leaving at 10 am. It's going to be a long day. Nearly had our first argument but it was too early! And Robin didn't push it too far!
Seen off by Lia and the staff. Travelled in luxury bus which was a good thing as the unmade road was a bit slippery. Sad to leave but pleased to board the ferry before it poured down. Bit of time for last minute shopping and off we went. Ferry very full and although they are pretty organised, we don't know that. Rough sea, black at times, but managed. Transfer to buses and then to Nok air flight. Sitting separately on a full plane. Not much time to spare, but just enough. R sat next to a Thai man with an english wife who had three children, two well behaved little girls in the row behind but a littler terror of a boy about two who was quite a little prince in his behaviour. Luckily there was a spare seat across the aisle so R very kindly gave up his allocated seat so that the little prince had a seat rather than his father's lap. Father then fastened a seat belt around him that he could not undo. Oh dear!

Plane on time so we were able to catch the bus shuttle to Suvarnabhumi airport from where we caught a taxi to our hotel. Not the greatest one but will have to do for the night before catching our plane at 13.10 tomorrow. A good Thai meal before shuffling some packing into different cases. No air con in the reception/restaurant so very warm for eating.
