Ok, quick entry.
I found out that riding the train in india is one of the world's most exciting experiences. I had a top bunk i got lay out on and relax.
Jodphur is quite an amazing city,.  It's quite smelly. There's trash everywhere. But it is so beautiful. The people are great.
We toured the fort that's at the top of the city yesterday. It had a great audio guide that really gave us some insight into the history of the place.Afterwards, we stopped and had a couple beers and I was really longing a western meal. So i caved in and had chicken nuggets and fries. It was wonderful!!!
Then my dad and I went back to the hotel and napped and then we hit the streets. There was a really cool market and I caved in and bought a couple pashminas - absolutely gorgous. I made friends with one of the ladies who makes them and exports them to the US. After I finish here  at the internet cafe I'm going to her shop and buying an entire bed set from her  - comforter covers and pillow covers! So excited!
Today my dad and I went on what they call a village safari. we saw villages on the outskirts of jodphur and saw locals make claypots, blankets, rugs and opium tea. We tasted the latter - but it didn't have any kick to it.
And now I'm here! Tomorrow we're hitting the desert on camelback and doin g a two-night, three-day safari. i will report on it when I get back!!
