The last 2 days of the the 'best of Cambodia' tour ended with a trip to Sihanoukville. Sihanoukville is on the western coast of Cambodia so it has a similar beach to Thailand- beautiful beaches- However this always comes at a price- it is filled with Brits abroad and old scummy Russian men - the big beer belly'd infested type- to pick up young girls- not pretty! especially when they decide to join you in the pool for a late night swim. As for the Birts abroad-I'm talking about the chavalicious yobbo type who just sit their asses on the beach all day and drink 50c beer. Not that I minded too much, I'm just trying to paint a picture for you. It's like Ayia Napa in Cyprus or what's that place in Majorca where all the Chavs go to??? 'Magalouf' good thing was that we picked a bottle of 'Romangoff' (we like to think it was Smirnoff) for $4. cheap as chips man!

Anyway- we had a boat that took us to a private island which was so cool... Just us on the beach , they made us a lovely lunch an I fell asleep on the hammock for 2 hours! It was at that point that I realised how hard a life I have:) not!

Valentines day was an interesting one. One of the ladies on tour was officially divorced on 14 February- so we took it apon ourselves to have a divorce party celebration. nothing quite as liberating as a divorce party celebration..!!!spent the evening pub crawling - it was fun!

So now we r on our way back to Phnom Penh. The capital- where we will do some sight- seeing. As everything was closed the last time we were there due to the cremation of the King- the ceremony which lasted 8 days! Other than that not too much to report except that I am looking forward to a nice shower and electricity and no rats!

I start my volunteering at the elephant sanctuary n Sunday which is going to be so amazing I think. Will keep unpostedif I can, but will only ave power 6-9 every night... So update will follow in a wee while:)

PS - I have serious luggage problems! Backpack is full and it just just closes. Gonna have to throw some crap out.... I've bought 4 shirts and 2 pairs of Asian trousers- both of which resemble pyjamas:) but have no space!!! Cannot wait to throw those hiking boots out...

Ok- if I carry in writing I will bore you to death. Over and out!!!

So after 2 week tour I can safely say that I have made 3 or 4 really good friends and I will be seeing them and staying with them in Australia which is col. The good thing about doing a tour is that you will meet other people who have done what u r doing and can give u good tips on where to go( like my Vietnam trip which is next after the elephant sanctuary) or who actually live in the places that you want go ( like Australia) so it's totally all worked out which is cool!

Elephant valley project starts tomorrow... 1 week with the elephants! I will probably have some good stories n pics to share end of next week!

Also found some cool bars:) down dingy dark alleyways...

Smell ya laters!
