Sister Susan & I managed to get all packed up and on our way this morning BEFORE noon! After stopping at the local bookstore to pick up a copy of the Scrabble Dictionary/4th edition (I only managed to beat Susan by a small margin last night), we headed out to see Gramma and Grampa at Bloomfield Manor. We met mom in the dining room -- meals being her favorite part of the days -- then went upstairs to visit with dad on the 2nd floor sunporch. It's so great to see the folks, though I find myself at a loss for words (nice to have Susan there to bounce off of). They're looking really good.

My suitcase (filled with new yarns and treasures) is STILL LOST between Minneapolis and Madison. Aarrgh again. I'm getting sick of wearing the same clothes day after day.
One nice thing, though -- I keep getting compliments on the colorful sweater I made. The waitress at Cook's Corner asked me for my business card just now.

The Ketchum house in D'ville is located within a block of the gourmet cafe and town library. (I'm at the library now, picking up The Razor's Edge(Somerset Maugham) since it didn't reach make it to the shelves in time for us at Madison-Central.)

Christer just rang me from Newark airport where they're catching the next plane out to San Jose, Costa Rica. Lucky ducks.

I don't see anyone I know here in my home town . . . Not many old friends around to look up. We are having Dick and Mary over to the house for dinner tonight -- chicken, wild rice, spinach salad.

Not too much excitement, but it's good to be here.
