I'm on Serena's laptop moving text and photos around on Apple (not PC). Serena, Daniel, and Liz are in the other room picking out a video to watch -- it's already 11 pm! The next door neighbor just moved in -- he does "hip-hop shabbat"! which is Jewish prayers set to rap. He will also be at the big Channukah party tomorrow night.'

The day started with Chan's alarm at 7:30, because he had to get ready for a piano tuning. It was pouring rain (again). At least there have been breaks in the rain this time -- last year it was solid rain, no let up.

I took Bart to Oakland, where Se and Daniel picked me up. Serena immediately went off to her yoga class with Liz, so Daniel and I got into our respective projects. After they returned, we got into the garden work -- heavy-duty thorns, mud, etc. trying to get ready for the party. Things look so much better!

Serena went to the nearby swimming pool to work (life-guarding), so I borrowed her car to go visit Uncle Scott (Todd's father), who is 86. He was in great shape, and asked about Lady.

Our evening continued with a dinner out -- Venus restaurant -- with Serena, Daniel, and my ex Ilsa. Pleasant and full of fun (amazingly). Tomorrow will be filled with party activities.
