So left the little island of Koh Tao on monday the 27th of november and headed for Koh Phangan by boat. On the boat i met up with Roman a guy from Texas who i had met briefly the day before diving. So we got a taxi to Haad Rin beach in Koh Phangan and found a place to stay in the Sun cliff resort with a view of Koh Samui and part of a tree in the way too. Anyway got some much needed food and went about a few bars on the main street and the beach. Now this island is pretty much full of backpackers and its famous for its parties.. it has some sort of party every week.. ie.. full moon, half moon, black moon.. anything they can think of and its a party. I knew i had missed the full moon and wouldnt make the december one either and i naturally assumed that the half moon was 2 weeks after the full moon. it turns out there are two half moon parties a month and i was going to be there for one of em. Anyway the first nite was a good laugh down on the beach watching performers do these fire juggling tricks and then random people jumping through a ring of fire.

. (poser's mostly) Now the drinks they serve here come in bucket form and cost feck all so everyone is walking about with these little buckets full of booze. (0r in many case's they aint able to walk anymore)
The 28th was the half moon parrty so that day we hit the beach for some rays and a swim before geting ready to go to the half moon, most of the parties are usually on the beach but the half moon is in the middle of a jungle about 20 minute taxi ride away. So we meet a bunch of randoms in the taxi from cananda and had a laugh with them for much of the nite. there were a couple of thousand at the party which goes on all nite and was a good nite. Left there when it was geting bright just after 6 in the morning pissing myself laughing at some israeli guy who had just copped on he had pulled a ladyboy...(he obviously did'nt know about the mick dundee test) Had to do the power nap thing the next day and evening before heading back out on the beach again, so down to the cactus and drop in bars where it is always lively. Loosing track of what day it is at this stage but friday 30th of november booked myself an overnite boat and bus to Krabi which is on the west side of thailand. Spent the rest of my last day in Koh Phangan lounging on the beach swimming and eating. Only a twelve hour trip ahead of me now all going well.
