Well, it's my last full day in Italy. Is it wrong that I'm excited about that? Tomorrow morning I wake up and catch a train to Geneva at 8:30am (well, I have to swtich trains in Milan) and then I'm finally in Switzerland!! Yay!
My day today has been pretty good. I woke up and went to the trian station to reserve my ticket. I wanted to get the David card thing that Sandy told me about to save time in lines at the Accademia and the Ufizzi, but it wasn't opened yet when i walked by! So I decided to brave the lines and go without. So I went to see David first and the line was only 20 minutes! Not bad at all. And he really is impressive. And so intricately designed! He has veins and a furrowed brow! Very neat! Then I walked through the market where I bought some jewellery and a very nice black leather purse! I know, I should have gotten a different colour than black, but it goes with everything this way! And I really liked it. Then I went to the Ufizzi Gallery, saw the line (it was loooong!) but decided to wait. I had the time. It took me two hours to get in the museum. And it was kind fo boring when i got in. I don't really like renaissance art. Give me abstract or landscape any day! After seeing a ton of art in Europe, I really miss my Group of Seven!!! Anyways, and that's about it. I walked past the Duomo, didn't climb it though. It's neat on the outside though.
I'll update more in Switzerland!!!
