Dante took Marcelo, Daniela and I to Grouse Mountain and generously treated us to a ride up the mountain by cable car, rather than the grueling Grouse Grind up the side of the mountain.
I would recommend Grouse Mountain as a great day out for anyone visiting Vancouver. The cable car ride gives great views of the mountain ranges and the city. At the top of the mountain there are plenty of things to do.

- Bird of prey show
- Grizzly bear enclosure
- Guided nature walks
- Lumberjack Show
- Ziplines
- Paragliding
- Helitours
- The eye of the wind (a wind turbine with a look out pod at the top)
- Skilifts

Those are just the summer activities, in the winter there are several ski slopes to be enjoyed

My mum took Lindsay and I when we were little and my childhood memories were brought to life again. The lumberjack show is just as fun as I remember it being. I have put a few fun videos of the various skills they had to perform.

The highlight of the day was just as we were about to leave, around 6pm, the 2 rescue bears livened up and started chasing each other around their enclosure. We saw some amazing behaviour, which was lovely to witness.

Another thing of note was an actual baby grizzly which the rangers noted tourists were taking pictures of, however this one was wild! The rangers rushed over to shoo away the tourists who were contently surrounding the little bear snapping it's picture, no idea that the mother was most likely waiting in the wings. You will not see a picture of this baby bear as I was not one of those careless tourists.

We had such a great day with Dante and Daniela so thank you to you both!
