We visited some family in Brasilia. Ok, so here is the connection.
Marcelo's half sisters, aunties brother's family. So Denise and Jussara, who I mention a few times in these photos are his sisters cousins, cousins. Their mother Ana put us up in her house. They were so welcoming and lovely we feel like close family. Denise has now gone over to London to learn English, so if I've given you her details please don't forget to get in touch with her. She is lovely.
Denise and Jussara took us all over Brasilia, which is the capitol of Brasil and shaped like a plane. With this design, it takes a long time to get from one end (or wing) to the other, and a 40 min drive to get into the centre is just about standard.
All the government buildings are in Brasilia and all very well planed out and symmetrical. We really enjoyed visiting the gallery and the Cathedral. And I in particular enjoyed the artisanal market and wanted to buy everything. Oh if only I had a house to put all these wonderful pieces of art work I'm finding.
Jussara and her fiance Romulo will be getting married in September and I would like to wish them all the luck and love in the world. You are beautiful people who made our stay in Brasilia so welcoming and special. Thank you, bless you.
