Marcelo has a very large family. The family who own the farm is is half cousin. Marinaldo is the first cousin of Marcelo's two sisters Ana Paula and Fernanda. They have had the farm since 2009. Marinaldo used to work as a lawyer but now is running the farm full time. It has crops of corn, casava and sorghum and plenty of fruit trees. Jabuticaba, Mango, Jack Fruit, Coconut, Cashew, Papaya, Acerola, Guava, Graviola, Sharon Fruit, Avocado, Banana, Lime, Oranage. Needless to say, we spent the day 'chup' -ing fruit (chupar is to suck and it's how Brasilians descirbe eating fruit). The farm at the minute does not grow to sell, it is self sufficient. They grow the sorghum to feed the animals. They hand milk the cows and make cheese. They eat a lot of mangoes. I don't know how we will get through them all. YUM!
