Let me tell you, Blarney is mostly just baloney! It cost 10 Euro each to get in, and though it's grounds really were stunning, the castle itself is just a shell of a castle, not well preserved just turned into a kissing tourist attraction. At the entrance to the castle was a singing guitar playing buscar (not a very talented one), as you’d find in the London underground! Outside the castle was a photo both for you to purchase a picture of you kissing the stone. I have to say, I got up one flight of stairs and panicked and came back down. My dad did kiss the stone (I think he thought he needed to – to help his communication skills ;) ). Anyway the most interesting thing for me was the trees, one tree had a horizontal branch growing between 2 vertical branches, and another had a branch which turned into another tree…mind boggling. We made the most of it. But personally I’d avoid tourist traps if I were you.
