March 31

Early early wake up to catch our ferries by 7am we left with the Condor ferries for a 2h sail to St-Peter-Port in Guernsey in a quite grey weather.

Once arrived we saw a strange city built on a hill in the cloud mist. It was also pretty windy and we were too early for the touristy season.
Basically we encountered a real sea-side temperature.

We walked around, visiting this city and so but also managed to cross the island to go to the other side have a different look. Floh wasn't so happy with the journey, wanting to go to museum or get information rather than just discovering at the moment itself. I always trust my intuition. That was a difference between us. Which brought some cold for a moment.

On the other side of the Island, it was more wild and rocky so there was more landscape. Also plenty of the WWII tower built by the german against an invasion. Funny and strange.
There was this little island we could reach (Lahou Island) by foot at low tide, we started walking and arrived next to the old old mansion located on the island and read the information panel there... telling the walk around the island time and the tide hour. We noticed that the board said, leave the island 10 minutes ago if you want to make it before the high tide. We were we just crossed on low tide but then turned around and looked... shit!!!!!!!!!!!!
Half the path was already flooded we ran like hell and managed to cross it on some rocks still above water. Few minutes after we made it on the good side the whole path had disappeared beneath the water. It would have been a shitty situation.

My ankle started to hurt too, I could barely walk without hurting myself. That must have been from the many miles walked the last 2 days. We also had enough, we caught a bus back to St-Peter-Port and went to a Café to write some postcard and have a drink before going to the ferry.

Then we still had about an hour to kill before boarding the ferries, looking at the people and just relaxing for a while and hop we were back in Weymouth. By 8pm there was no bus back to Poole, I tried to hitch but it didnt work at all. So we had to catch the train... expenses but it was paying back the money I owed to Floh.

We arrived nearly at the same time than our guest (HC: drybranch) in Branksome. After some short introduction we gathered into our flat.
