Saturday 12th July

We decided to stick around here today and not do any travelling.  We wanted to go shopping in a big mall so we went in search of one. Could we find one? No!  Can you ever find things when you want them? Of course not!  We have seen zillions of them on our journey but not been in a position to stop at many of them.

So we went to a very small one which was rubbish so we didn't spend any money. After a grocery shop and a visit to "Goodwill" we went back to our camp site relaxed in the knowledge that we didn't have to find a site.

We have frequented a few "Goodwill" stores along the way.  These are basically charity shops on a large scale (like everything in the States). You may be thinking we are sad people who have to by all our clothes second hand. This could be true by the end of this trip, but in the mean time these shops have been great places to get very cheap books to read - 25 cents for a paperback!  So we have managed to keep ourselves going with books and when we finish them we can either donate them back to Goodwill or swap them at a camp site book swap.
Holly and Zach have been able to get lots of books this way too.

Today we also got the game "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" for kids aged 8 to 12. This is the American version so there are some questions that are hard to answer but in general we have found it great entertainment for all of us!  All for $1.75!

We played four rounds of this, each taking a turn at being Eddie McGuire (Aussie TV guy) or Chris Tarrent UK TV guy. Holly and Zach loved it so I'm sure we will be playing it quite often!

After dinner, which was a bit late due to the game we cycled down to the Lake to watch the sun go down - very romantic!
