We woke at 7.30 and we must have slept really well after the storm as we felt pretty good.
After breakfast we drove back round to the fort to have a look. As it is part of the National Park system the kids were able to complete another Junior Ranger certificate.
It was still a bit wet and very humid and we needed our umbrellas as we walked around this place. This is yet another Military Fort built in 1840's approx. and restored to its original condition. The kids completed the certificates and by that time it was lunch time so we headed back to the van.
We drove on until about 6pm shortly after entering Missouri. We stopped in a small town in a little park and BBQ'd our tea. On the way we passed real Amish people in their carriages with horses pulling them, on their way back from church.
We found a Walmart at Mountain View to stop over for the night. This was not a 24 hour superstore so we thought we had better ask permission. They seemed quite happy about us staying there so we settled down for the night
