Well, what can I say .... less than a month to go before we're on that plane.
We are seriously counting down now. We've started changing addresses, cancelling accounts and giving notice on services.
We've also been doing loads more research so that we know when to do what once arriving in Oz. Everything, like the UK, is dependent on a permanent address over there so we'll be pretty limited initially in terms of arranging our Tax File numbers, drivers licences, Medicare (like NHS) etc.
We are all getting really excited too. Even Kaitlynn has some idea of what's up and I'm forever trying to involve her in all our little activities. Some of the pre-Oz arrival preparation includes making sure that all outdoor goods like golf carts, shoes, door mats etc. are free of all mud and soil. Here's a photo of Kaitlynn helping me with a bit of this pre-prep work. She was absolutely soaked at the end of it all.
We are looking foward to seeing our family and friends before we leave and I'm especially looking forward to a bit of a breather while we stay at Colin and Tarnya for a few days before we go. It is going to be a bit of an emotional rollercoaster with the sadness of saying goodbye but also the excitement of what's in store for us.
We hope to do one last post before we leave the UK and after that we'll be signing off from sunny (hopefully) Perth.
