Last night Poppy took part in the animal creation competition.  She made a two hump camel which she called Arthur.  Then she joined in the fun with Jingles the Jester and Princess Mia playing games with the other kids and playing on the X box.  We stayed in the room and lay out stretched on the beds watching tv!

After a pleasant night of swashbuckling in our room, we had a leisurely breakfast before returning to Legoland for Day 2.  The girls went on several rides for a second and third time while we wandered around the park.

We we visited the Sea Life Aquarium which had real sea life as well as Lego models of scuba divers, sunken ships and treasure etc.  the aquarium was lovely with soothing music and subdued lighting.  Added to this, there were no screaming children.  The downside to a hotel dedicated to children is that it is full of them!

My favourite exhibit in the aquarium was the room with a tank around the outside so you sat on the inside of the fish as they swam around and around and around.

Finally we bid farewell to Legoland and began our trip north.  This weekend is a long weekend and the traffic was expected to be awful.  Luckily we were on the road early enough and managed to get to Ventura at a reasonable hour.

Ventura is one of LA's northern beaches and is a favourite getaway for Angelenos.  It is north of Santa Monica beach.  The camp site we have arrived at is not quite what we were expecting but will do for our first night back in the RV.
