How did we arrive in Amsterdam? By Eurolines bus from Paris... a long and restless night for Maija, while Ernie slept like a baby. AND the day we arrived also just happened to be THE Queen's birthday - a great excuse for the whole country to have a huge party all over Amsterdam. That day, anyone was able to sell anything as well ... this translates into everyone having their own mini garage sale all over every sidewalk in the center.
Also went to several museums to see works by Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Vermeer .... and other Dutch masters.
On our last night wee found this super cool, old Art Deco cinema and watched The Good German
We opted to be homeless for a night and got to the airport 5 hours prior to our early am flight to Berlin on Transavia, KLM's version of budget airlines, way cheaper than bus of train!
On to Berlin!
