Happy 4th of July!!!
We get up at the crack of dawn again and then get into a taxi which was taking us to the bus which was taking us to the airport. We get to the airport and wait around for our flight to leave. While we are waiting I notice this couple freaking out because their gate for their flight hasn't been posted yet. I jump in and reassure them that it's fine and I've flown out of this airport a ton of times and they never post the gate this early. Apparently I should've kept to myself. This guy was a talker. He told me all about the Washington airport once I told him I was having my layover there. He actually freaked me out about it. But whatever. He just kept talking and talking about whatever until his gate was posted. It was pretty funny. Then I get up and get in line for our flight. I was determined to get the emergency exit seats in the plane so that Dad could have more leg room. So I'm pushing my way through, shoving little children and the elderly and I make it to the seats I want. haha We land in Rome a little bit later and then jump on the bus and head to the city centre. We get there and at this point I'm starving so we go into the train station and eat some fast food pizza. This may sound weird but fast food pizza in Italy is still better than any pizza anywhere else in the world. After that quick lunch, we got on the metro and headed towards the Vatican. We get there and it is SO flipping hot. We get our tickets into the Vatican and start walking around. It was really cool.
