. Both Dad and Kay got some pretty cool stuff. Then we jumped back on the metro and headed back to the area where our hotel is. We went to the take away crepe place and got something to eat. I refuse to go back to this place. I HATE the men who work it. Everytime I go there they correct my French. I don't care if they are actualy trying to be nice but they correct me when I know for a fact I've said nothing wrong. I was using slang one time and they corrected me and then other time I was just saying Bonjour but I said it with a Nantes accent and apparently they had to correct me. I was so mad both times and I will never go back to them. Ugh. After our snack, we rested a bit and then headed out again towards Notre Dame. We wanted to go back to the souvenir shop place where Dad had seen these prints he wanted to get. After that was done we started looking for a place to eat dinner. Kay pointed out this little alley so we head down it and find a HUGE tourist trap. There were rows and rows of restaurants and stores with workers outside trying to pull people in. We eventually chose one and sure enough it was pretty touristy. Oh well. The food was good enough. After dinner we went back to the hotel and slept.
We literally passed out last night after our London adventure. We woke up late-ish, and then headed to our breakfast place again. After breakfast, we went to the Eiffel tower and got to go up. We picked a really good time to go to because it really wasn't that crowded. So, if you ever go, head to the tower early in the morning (9 or 10ish) and you'll get up there pretty quickly. After that we took the metro to see the Moulin Rouge. It was neat, but it's always cooler in the night so during the daytime it's a little blah. Then we jumped the metro again to the next stop which is at the bottom of Sacré Coeur, which is a basilica in Montmartre. We took some pictures and everything and then we decided we were hungry so we ate sandwiches right by the artist area. I thought that was so cool because I'd never eaten around that area. After lunch we walked around and looked at all the art. Kay and Dad were really interested and almost bought some paintings but didn't end up doing it. They are all too expensive. After wandering around there for a while we headed back down towards the metro stop where there is basically a street of souvenir shops
