I hiked around town viewing the Uffuzi and the Accadamia with David. I decided not to go and see David because I saw 2 replicas that were free so I did not want to spend 15 Canadian to see him a third time, just a bit older. I did a beautiful hike to the top of a hill and saw a beautiful view of the city. The colors of the buildings here are like Venice, mostly coral in color but with lots of goldish trimming. I did some shopping because Florence has the best leather and jewlery in the world only made here so it is at a very good price for quality products
I went to the super market to buy myself some groceries and I made some pasta with this amazing mushroom sauce (but not as good as Grandmas at Christmas) and tomatoes with Tuscany grapes. Yummy. Tomorrow, I am going to Sienna for a few hours and then to Rome, because I heard Sienna is beautiful and because the rail service in Italy makes you reserve your seats in advance for 15 euros for major cities, so instead of spending 15 euros, I am going to Sienna and then to Rome from there which does not require a reservation. The sales people are agressive like Mexico, but you can strike a good bargain if you say you only have so much money and walk out a few times.
