Today, I spent the day around Florance, Italy.  I had a poor sleep because the other girls in the room snored so loud I could not tell the difference between them snoreing or if a vechile was speeding by when my window was open.  I slept in a little bit today until 10 am to catch up on my beauty sleep because normally I am up by 8 am.

I hiked around town viewing the Uffuzi and the Accadamia with David.  I decided not to go and see David because I saw 2 replicas that were free so I did not want to spend 15 Canadian to see him a third time, just a bit older.  I did a beautiful hike to the top of a hill and saw a beautiful view of the city.  The colors of the buildings here are like Venice, mostly coral in color but with lots of goldish trimming.  I did some shopping because Florence has the best leather and jewlery in the world only made here so it is at a very good price for quality products!  My bag is getting heavy now again eventhough I got rid of some things such as my old sandals because they stank, my flat dress shoes because they broke, and some food I brought.

I went to the super market to buy myself some groceries and I made some pasta with this amazing mushroom sauce (but not as good as Grandmas at Christmas) and tomatoes with Tuscany grapes.  Yummy.  Tomorrow, I am going to Sienna for a few hours and then to Rome, because I heard Sienna is beautiful and because the rail service in Italy makes you reserve your seats in advance for 15 euros for major cities, so instead of spending 15 euros, I am going to Sienna and then to Rome from there which does not require a reservation.  The sales people are agressive like Mexico, but you can strike a good bargain if you say you only have so much money and walk out a few times.

Ciao!

Hello, Mal
Your experiences ,as you chronicle them are truly
mind boggling. How wonderful that you are really enjoying the the countryside, all the people you meet, and the cultural opportunities. By, the way, my Mother's Grandma was an opera singer in Russia.Neat, Eh! If I looked around, there would be some skeletons left in the closets.
Our weather is just beautiful.I have four meetings tomorrow. This darned retired life is not all fun, especially ths week . Grandma has her share of them ,too.So all is going well here. We think of you all the time and wait for travel blogs. So far, I've printed all of you entries, so you can refer to them some time in the future. Tkake Care, have a safe journey.. Much Love, Grandpa and Grandma Germann

New Recipe
Hello Mallory,

Your travels sound so facinating to me each and every day I read them. I am wondering if we can look forward to a new recipe or two that you may have pick-up during your travels.

Yesterday the temperature reach 26C quite amazing for Fall in Spruce Grove.

Have MORE and MORE FUN.
