London - definately didn't plan to come here but my travel parner left early in the morning without any notice, so I went with a new friend, Mark - a firefighter from New Zeland to his friend's flat in London where I stayed for 2 days.  We all had a blast and the New Zeland people were so friendly and I got to see all the sights of London at night, which was beautiful with all the lights.  My favorite was Big Ben.  The guys all went to Oktoberfest this morning, and I got a flight tonight to Prague and booked a hostel.

Although being alone now is a bit frightening, yet it is thrilling.  It is now MY trip and I can go where I want to without compromise.  Dylan and I definately had conflicting personalities, and I couldn't handle the many times he would unexpectantly leave from pubs or other places without letting me know so it is for the best.  No hurt feelings at all, but now I have no dramma and I am free :)  The people in London were kinda harsh and snobby.  Definately not my favorite people I have met.  No one even makes eye contact on the tube!  Its such a change from Ireland, where everyone is always willing to help whether you need it or not and always wanting to tell their Irish tales.

I might meet up with my friends at Oktoberfest if possible, but if not I will stay in Prague for a few days and go from there!

One thing about London I couldn't get over was the abundance of drinking on the streets  On the tube (the subway system), everyone would have a bottle of mixed alcohol with them.  On the streets outside the pubs, people took their drinks with them outside and even across the street!

It will be nice to go to a country where the traffic is in the same direction as north America.  I heard the number one reason for injury/death for travellers is crossing into the way of moving vechiles.  One has to look both ways before crossing the street but look in the opposite direction.  I look both ways twice to make sure :)

Miss you, Love you!
