Since I decided to only spend a little over 2 weeks in Argentina, I knew I had to move fast.  So I prioritized some of the places a wanted to see and actually knocked a lot of cities off of my list.  I felt like I had been going from city to city for some time and so I wanted to see a little more of the country if possible.

Therefore, I went straight (well, kinda) from Sucre, Bolivia to Cafayate, Argentina (going through Salta, Argentina first).  It was a LONG trip to do a boarder crossing and be on 4 different buses over the course of 30 hours but because I didn't have time to go all the way down to Mendoza I wanted to see at least part of Argentina's wine region.

Cafayate is a beautiful region that, not surprisingly, reminds me of Napa, California except that it is at a much higher altitude (almost 7,000ft...I think).  I met this great couple in my dorm room and we decided to rent bikes the next day and explore the vineyards and attend some wine tasting.  We had some great wine and I did fine on a bike after my death road fiasco (one more step towards getting over my fear for good haha).  I only had about a day in a half in Cafayate before heading off to Iguazu falls but it was worth the trip and the bus ride between Salta and Cafayate is simply breathtaking.

I have included pictures from our day out and about and the beautiful bus ride - I hope you enjoy :)
