Had a bit of a rough sleep again last night, still trying to work out a good sleeping pattern.

We had breakfast this morning and I had some kolace, a pastry thing with sweet cottage cheese, marmalades and poppy seed spread. The one we had also had apple and cinnamon topping of one part, which tasted the best I think!

We then got ready and I piled layer upon later as it is due to snow any day here really. Opening the window to let the icy wind in while I get dressed has been a regular thing. It gets too got otherwise! Lol. We then headed out to the bus.

On the bus I was so hot from all the layers I was wearing! We then caught the metro towards the museum at the top of Wenceslas square and headed to the tour place where our tour to Karlovy Vary was due to begin at 9:30am.

The big bus came to pick us up and already had a few people on it from various hotels that had already been picked up. We noticed immediately that we were one of the only English speaking pairs about. The tour started and we realized it was an English and Spanish tour... The tour guide could speak clearly in Czech, English and Spanish! It was pretty impressive.

It was about a 2 hour journey to Karlovy Vary and along the way I again saw snow on the sides of the road! Along the way there was this gross young Spanish couple in front of us making out every few minutes. I was pretty grossed out but at the same time a bit jealous I didn't have my Ryan with me (not that we make out in front of people on buses).

At about 11:30 we arrived in Karlovy Vary, although there was no snow as it was in a bit of a dip, surrounded by hills. It was a little sad as I was waiting eagerly to touch the snow finally!... But it didn't happen.

Everyone then got off the tour bus and we started our walking tour bit. We went by hotel Pupp, where part of the James Bond movie 'Casino Royale' was filmed. We also walked around the town along some shops, where we tried some spa wafers, famous to the Karlovy Vary town. The tour guide then took us to the first colonnade which contained 4 taps which ran with the hot spring waters (between 30 and 70 degrees celsius). Further into the colonnade was a huge spring which spurt into the water 12 meters high at a constant rate. This spurting spring was quite hot and was surrounded by a glass building.

We wandered about some more and saw many of the 12 springs throughout the little town. Each of the springs had a different taste, although I gave up tasting after the third one as I thought it tasted like dirty water. Apparently the spring waters have really good health benefits as it flushes the body.

We wandered around the town a bit and learnt that no one actually lives in the main part of the town, there are only hotels and shops. Heaps of other people walking around held the special ceramic cups with the spout to drink out of, sipping at cups filled with the icky water like it was wine or something.

It was then lunch time and we headed to a designated place where we had like a chicken noodle broth soup, I had a chicken steak, chips and rice (random combination), then we had a piece if chocolate cake with layers of apricot jam and some cream.

After lunch we were given an hour and half to wander around and do what we liked to. Baba and I went to buy some packets of spa wafers which came in all different flavours. I bought two packets for Ryan, to take to Asia. We still had a bit of time so I bought some pants and 2 cheapy tops from a clothing store. I must add here that trying to try on new clothes when you're already wearing 22 items of clothing is not so fun...

It was then about 4pm and we had to meet the others to get the bus at 4:30pm, so we headed back to our meeting point which was the restaurant we dined at.

When we got to the restaurant we wanted to use the toilet so we sat down and ordered some fruit teas. A girl from our tour group came over and asked if she could sit with us, her accent sounded strange. She then asked where I was from and I said Australia and she told me she was too! I thought, wow is that how I sound to other people? Lol but I hadn't heard an Australian accent in a little while. We had a chat and this girl was from Sydney and actually travelling on her own, she seemed a bit lonely and I thought we could have had something (lol), but I think Baba scared her away :p.

We then got on our bus and headed back to Prague. I tried to sleep but it was so so hot on the bus!! I ended up taking off my shoes, both my pairs of socks, my jacket, my scarf, my beanie and my 3 jumpers... But was still hot! It was a very uncomfortable trip and when we finally reached Prague it was so nice to be in the fresh wintery air.

We then headed to the museum metro station and I led the way back to the right station and exact bus stop we needed. Baba laughed and said I was just like a homing pigeon and it must run in the family because Daniel was the same.

We got back to our flat and it was so nice to take our shoes off! I had some more berries for dinner and some kolace. Now I think I'm ready for a shower and bed because I'm sleepy and there's all these creepy or boring Czech translated movies/tv shows on.
