WOW!!DAYS OF BAD WEATHER BUT NOTHING LIKE YESTERDAY .WHEN LEAVING THE SOLOMONS HEADING TO GALESVILLE. WE GOT UP SUPER EARLY AND PULLED OUT APPROX.6AM WATERS TO BE CALM UNTIL LATE MORNING WRONG!!!!!RADAR WAS ON ,VERIFIED THE WEATHER ON NOAA ALL GOOD TO GO.WE WERE 1 1/2 HRS INTO THE TRIP WHEN WEATHER ALERTS WERE BEING BROAD CASTED AND WE COULD SEE ON RADAR STORMS AHEAD,BEHIND AND ON BOTH SIDES,WE WERE SURROUNDED. IT WASN'T LONG BEFORE THE THUNDER,LIGHTENING AND HEAVY RAIN.AFTER CAREFUL DISCUSSION ROGER AND I DECIDED TO BACK DOWN,RUN SLOW AND RIDE OUT THE STORM.MR DACH IS NOW TERRIFIED OF THUNDER AND SHAKES AND RUNS TO HIDE.ONCE WE SAW THE STORM PASS  IN FRONT OF US WE RAN LIKE "HECK".WE REACHED THE WEST RIVER WHICH IS ONE OF 4 RIVERS--WEST,RHODE,SOUTH AND SEVERN ALL AROUND ANNAPOLIS.WE CHOSE TO GUNK HOLE IN THE RIVERS AND SKIP ANNAPOLIS FOR NOW.WHAT A BEAUTIFUL RIDE UP THE WEST RIVER FEW HOUSES AND FARMS THAT FLOW TO THE RIVERS EDGE LIKE THE OLD DAYS AND NO FENCES.GALESVILLE WAS FOUNDED IN 1652 POPULATION MAYBE 700 AND ALL ARE DESCENDENT'S OF THE HARTGES THE FAMOUS PIANO AND BOAT BUILDER.WE MADE RESERVATIONS FOR A MOORING AND FOUND OUR #25 AND MOORED UP THEN DINGHY ED IN TO CHECK IN AND GET THE SCOOP ON THE LITTLE TOWN.THERE ARE 4 PET SWANS,DUCKS AND CANADIAN GEESE ABOUND.THE DOCK MASTER (A HARTGE) SUGGESTED WE DO THE HERITAGE TOUR AND HANDED US A BROCHURE WITH A MAP---THIS WILL KEEP YOU BUSY FOR ONE DAY BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO THINK OF SOMETHING ON YOUR OWN FOR YOUR SECOND DAY---WE LAUGHED.SO WE DID OUR TOUR AND FOUND A GREAT WINES AND SPIRITS,BAKERY AND CHEESE SHOP---YUM!!!!BACK TO THE BOAT TO ENJOY THE WINE  AND WAS GLAD TO BE ON A MOORING IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER AND THE WORST SKIES EVER APPEARED IN THE NORTH.WE SCURRIED ABOUT TO SECURE THE BOAT AND CLOSE UP AND WITHIN MINUTES BLACK SKIES ENGULFED US AND WINDS OF 60MPH AND POURING RAIN.I STARTED TAKING PICTURES OF THE STORM THEN REALIZED THE MOORING BALL WAS MOVING AND WE WERE HEADED INTO A BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE SAILBOAT THAT WAS MOORED BEHIND US.WE SWUNG SO HARD AND SO FAST OUR SWIM PLATFORM WENT RIGHT ON TOP OF HIS MOORING AND HIS BOW PULPIT WAS HEADING RIGHT INTO OUR STERN.WE QUICKLY STARTED THE ENGINES AND MOTORED FORWARD AND IN THE LIGHTENING AND RAIN HAD TO RELEASE OURSELVES AND MOTOR ABOUT.WE THOUGHT WE COULD PICK UP ANOTHER MOORING BUT THE WINDS TOO STRONG SO FORTUNATELY THE FUEL DOCK WAS OPEN SO WE DOCKED(OUR WORST DOCKING EVER)THERE.AFTER ALL SAID AND DONE THERE WAS A LONG APOLOGY SESSION IT WAS A VERY TENSE MOMENT.BUT WE WORKED WELL TOGETHER TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM AND STILL LOVE EACH OTHER VERY MUCH.SO OUR SECOND DAY WAS SPENT DOCKED SO A GREAT MORNING DINGHY RIDE ,ANOTHER WALK TO TOWN AND ANOTHER GREAT BOTTLE OF WINE.TOMORROW WE WILL ANCHOR IN THE RHODE RIVER BY FLAT ISLAND.
