Well today i´ve spent a small fortune. Booked my bus to palenque for 9.30 tonight, $240 pesos!! then had to pay to keep my stuff in the hostle. So off i set on a squeky, sick lookin bike. went down along by the sea, there´s no beach here just a low wall all along but the prom is nice n there are bike lanes, after the end of the bike lane i went in hunt of somewhere to swim, passed all the army guys by where the government brings in the oil and the little town of lerma, which still has a pirate feel to it. out beyond all of, well everything, I found a little place where they have shade, sell drinks and you can swim in shallow murky water. After a little chat with the guy at the gate he said he'd keep an eye on my bike and let me in, he asked for a tip, i told him later, twas still there so he earned a few pence! tha swim was like mana from heaven after over an hour of cycling. I felt fit and well after it and decide i'd keep goin to see what was at the top of a nearby hill, not much but a nice view through the bushes. After a refreshing downhill freewheel i saw a sign point to Campeche Centro 7km in a different direction to the way i came, i mused on it for quiet awhile, then typically of me said "feck it why not!" About 3hrs later i got back to the hostle after a gruelling 15km cycle over two hills! did get to see a small castle and museum on the way which had nice views, but a hell of a morning and'll definitely sleep on the 6hr bus i'm gettin at half nine!!!!

keep those pics coming!
just been having a look through your albums, some good shots there. I'm very impressed by the pics you took for me - I particularly like your use of shading and contrast ;) DaveH

Once you keep DaveH happy we're all happy but don't overdo it.
The training I gave you in Muckross in Killarney is standing to you now all you need are a few Polish beers and you'll be fully recovered.
I'll expect a report on the agricultural situation in Mexico in the coming days.
The old camera is kept busy and the photos are interesting but of course I don't look at the DaveH ones.
Enjoy your travels and looking forward to your next report.
