so, since our adventure to the waterfalls, the girls and i have been travelling to new and exciting places.  we decided to head down south, farther than i have been yet.  so we jumped on a bus and made our way to Quepos, which is mostly just a little fishing town and not much of a beach, so we didn't even spend the night there.  we hailed ourselves a taxi, after grabbing frozen twix bars and pringles...of course, and took the twisty yet short drive to Manual Antonio. As soon as we arrived we already like the hostel.  its was quiet and cute with our own room and lots of greenery.  and not only that but there was $2 breakfasts of fruit and pancakes and $2 dinnner of amazing all you can eat spagetti!!!  soo good!!  so we relaxed that night and in the morning walked down to the beach, and what did we find but an amazing beach but its covered in tourists, umbrellas and people selling things. it was too much!!  everywhere you looked and everything around you was about tourists!!  kirsten to say the least wanted to leave right away, but we hadn't seen the national park, so we made her just tough it out!!
so the first day we just hung out and the second day there we walked all the way to the end of the beach where there were way less people and the water was less crowded.  i ended up buying 3 hackysacks and am now learning to juggle fairly well, one of my goals while being here!!  i can't quite throw it around my back yet, but i'm getting there.
anyways, on our third day we went into the national park with some boys that we had actually met in our hostel in santa theresa and they had shown up in MA.  they are hilarious aussies, and we have had some good times!! anyways, the park was amazing.  it wasn't too strenuous and we saw some amazing things. we hiked up to the most amazing lookout.  and pretty much had ourselves a photoshoot, it was awesome!!  on the way back down from the lookout we had a family of monkeys surround us. they were on the path and in the trees right next to us, and soon i found myself alone with them, i just couldn't get enough and my friends had just gone on without me!!  haha, but i got some amazing pics and a really good video!
and when i did finally make my way down i knew my friends would be lounging out on the awesomest beach ever!  the sand was so white and the water was soooo clear, we just spent the whole afternoon baking in the sun and floating in the water, allowing the slight waves to crash over us with our ears in the water listening to the crackle of the shells along the floor.  it really is amazing here!!!
the next day however was not so enjoyable!!  we decided it was time to leave seeing how now we had seen the park, so we made our way back to Quepos to catch a bus to Playa Dominical.  it was a 4 hour bus right and it was hot and sweaty and basically i hate the bus!!  but eventually we did make it here and right when we got off the bus it started to downpour on us!! so we quickly made our way to a restaurant where we had an amazing dinner and an even better banana split to finish it off and made our way to our hostel.  and that is where we are now!!
