We awoke at about 6 a.m. MT (4 a.m. EST) this morning to get ready for our tour.  After a great breakfast in the hotel we met the group in the lobby at 8:30 to depart for the Many Glacier area of the park.  The ride was about 1.5 hours through the Prairie.  Upon entering the park we spotted 3 bears in the river.  Looked like they were doing some fishing.  We arrived at the Many Glacier Lodge and then boarded a small boat for a tour of Swift Current Lake.  The skies were a bit cloudy, but the rain was holding off.  After completing the loop of the lake we took a small hike to Josephine Lake where we boarded another boat.  This lake was a bit deeper and got us closer to Salamander glacier.   We saw a number of Mountain Goats while touring this lake.  While on the boat it actually started snowing and by the time we docked it was pouring.   Thank goodness we had worn our rain gear.  After another hike we were back to the boat and returned to the lodge.  Lunch was at the Many Glacier Lodge.  We had lunch with Joe & Sharon from Florida.   After lunch it was back for the 1.5 hour ride to our lodge.  On the way out of the park we saw yet another bear.   Much bigger and fishing again.

Upon returning to the lodge we had time to write a few postcards before the Blackfeet Storyteller arrived.  The storyteller shared stories with us about his tribe and some of the customs.  They were interesting stories and he entertained us for an hour.  We decided to venture into the town to see what they had and to try and find WiFi.  Well the town was 3 stores, a restaurant and a Motel.  No WiFi.  We did purchase some goodies to take home and helped the economy here a bit.

Back to the lodge for dinner on our own time.
