We bought TShirts, Bathing Suit, and other trinkets.
We had lunch at Island Flava on the boardwalk. Good food. after lunch it was back to the car for some more touring. We were off to our first beach, however the only way to get there was to walk from the road. After navigating some hilly and windy roads we stopped for a few minutes and walked to the beach. Continuing on along the coast we passed a few quaint areas and then came upon the butterfly farm, We decided to stop in for a visit. There were so many types of butterfly's flying everywhere...interesting little place.
Next stop was Orient beach, a famous nude beach. It is also supposed to be one of the prettiest beaches on the island. Interesting as we drove up to the beach we noticed no nude women only nude men on the beach. Bob was a bit disappointed :) Actually there was one women fully clothed that came up to our car and asked for a ride to Phillipsburg.
After deciding not to travel to St. Bart's for the day we decided to tour St. Maarten on our own. We took our time getting ready this morning after having so many early morning and busy day's it was nice to relax a bit. We had not seen many of the beaches in St. Maarten and some of the more remote areas so we were off on our mission. First stop was in Phillipsburg for some shopping. We spent a few hours here shopping and walking around.
