Weather in Boston was miserable when we left for the journey to Beijing. We left our house about 4:30 AM, it was pouring raining and windy. We were able to get on an earlier flight out of Boston which gave us extra time between flights in Newark. The flight from Newark to Beijing was just about 14 hours taking us over Canada, the North Pole, Russia, Mongolia and into China. Relatively smooth flight. We watched many movies, did some reading and took some cat naps.
When we arrived in Beijing it was already 10/8. China is 12 hours ahead of EST and has only 1 time zone.
