Day 123: December 15, 2007 Ushuaia

I slept until 8:30 and then showered and went down to breakfast. Being the only guest, the seņora of the hotel and I chatted the whole time. When I finished, I went up to my room and started writing to get caught up on my journal. I wrote until after 1:00. I also uploaded more than 300 fotos to the computer and then downloaded them to my pen drive. Once all of that was accomplished, I took a cab into town to Felipe's cafenet internet/electronics place on San Martin and spent the next four hours uploading and editing my blog. It is really slow going uploading the fotos so I only got a few of those up-not that I intend to upload all 300. I also caught up on correspondence. By 9:00 I was famished so I went down the street and ate at the Bar Ideal which was expensive and not terribly good. I hadn't eaten there before and probably won't again. They did, however, serve Cape Horn beer, from Ushuaia's relatively new brewery-the world's southernmost, undoubtedly. I was surprised that it was very good, especially for a pilsener, which I don't usually go for.

After dinner, I went back to the internet place and uploaded a few more fotos but I kept screwing up and lost most of what I did. At least there was a note from Elise saying that they had all made it to Buenos Aires. They had a good day shopping and were at the airport awaiting their flight out. That was a big relief; I worried a lot about their time in the big city.

Frustrated and tired, I took a cab back to the hotel and watched the History Channel in Spanish for awhile before going to sleep.
