We felt a little sad to leave Karratha but had to hit the road.  We decided not to see Onslow and headed straight for Exmouth.  As usual the place is packed.  The Developers have arrived in town big time.  There's a Novotel and a huge number of holiday accommodation.  A new estate with marina is being built and the subdividers are making a killing.  The rest of the place is a sleepy little town but I think it's really popular with WA people and the must come here to fish, dive on the reef and generally enjoy life at the beach.
Today was my birthday!  It was so good to talk to everyone, thanks for thinking of me.  Sorry I bragged about the beautiful weather and spending the day on the beach.  We even managed to find a Sunday Market to go to.  Shame it was really small and I didn't see anything to spend my money on foolishly.  After that we spent all day in Cape Range NP.  We won't be camping there because you need to line up at the gate at 8:00am in the hope that someone is leaving.  You then have no choice which campsite you would like and they don't seem to have any shade or shelter anyway.  So we think we picked the best option and drove the length of the whole park and back again.  The sea was truely an amazing turquoise blue - extra pretty!  At the bottom is Yardie Creek Gorge which looked really nice too - perhaps we should have done a boat ride to see it all properly.  At the Lighthouse lookout we even saw a whale off shore.  To finish my day Peter took me out for a seafood dinner (OK it was the local fish and chip take-away) but I had yummy prawns and the others said the fish was fresh and good.
Tomorrow we will travel further south, first to see Coral Bay and then probably stop a little further down the track.  We don't have any real plans. We'll just wander along and stop if we find somewhere nice.  We all want to bush camp again and get out of the rat-race.  What's happening to us!!!

Glad you had a nice 'seafood' dinner for your birthday. A birthday to remember.

Just loved the look of the turquoise sea, the warm weather and the relaxed look on you all. Down south we are rugged up with coats, scarfs and gloves.

You sound like the idealic life style is certainly the way to go. Great for recharging those batteries. Wish we were there too.

Happy Birthday for yesterday.

Extremely jealous seeing those coastal pictures!! It was 0.7 degress at 6:30am yesterday morning, it just keeps getting colder and colder! I think the whole population of Adelaide is hanging out for warm weather - I know I am!!

Keep having fun in the sun, love you both oxoxo
