After the overnight train, I spend the morning walking around in Zurich.  Despite being one of the more beautiful cities I've ever visited, it was also in the midst of being a host city for the Euro Cup 2008 which provided for circus-like soccer fans and installations across the city.  I decide it is just about time for a haircut and pop into a barber shop for a quick trim.  I'm shocked at the price and negotiate it down 50% if no scissors are involved... a short two minutes later and I'm expecting to pay the already lowered $30 price when the lady tells me I get it free if I can juggle a soccer ball 50 times.  I laugh at her, although she is sure we are laughing together, and say something along the lines of, "this is gonna be tough but I've played once or twice so let's give it a shot"... a short minute later and she isn't laughing anymore.  I give her a tip and thank her for the cut after telling her I'll be back for a touch-up tomorrow!

The main drag along the river leading into Lake Zurich is packed with people, street vendors, and huge big screen tvs for watching the matches.  The area, called fan mile, provides for some great people watching and I decide to chill in the park eating some delicious cherries I got at a local farmer's market.

The afternoon rolls around and I decide to head down to Lugano to meet up with my Emory buddies Bobby and Mike, who have been living in Switzerland for almost three years at this point.  After a brief relaxation and catch up at their apartment we are heading down to the local bar to catch the Euro games, which featured a Switzerland home game making for yet another lively crowd.  Somehow, we wind up playing kings at the bar and end the night heading back to Bobby's place for a late night soiree.  All the Lugano people are very nice and we end the night early in the morning...
