I'm taking off today and can't wait to hit up Sweden!!! Finland was entirely uneventful and I wish I had used the opportunity to get better rested but it was cool to see a familiar face after Russia. Yan joins me for breakfast at the local market and then drops me at the ferry terminal to go to Stockholm. I use the opportunity to catch up on my sleep rather than get hammered like the Finnish apparently do. I fall asleep for a few hours and wake up to the people around me all getting absolutely drunk. I walk around the boat for a bit and then return to my chamber to do a little writing. I remembered that I still had a DVD and wind up watching The Kite Runner, which was amazing. The reality of the situation around the globe, even today, sets in a little deeper after watching the movie. While I have skirted those areas of the world on my travels, I have yet to be in a war-torn area and I'm not sure I'd like to see that...
