I have a sleeper cabin so I'm out like Janet Jackson's nipple... yeah, I know that was bad!  Anyways, I slept like a baby and woke up just a few kilometers out of Helsinki.

I resurface at the Helsinki train station around mid-day, well rested after a great sleep on the train, and meet up with Yan from Thailand and Cambodia...  We leave my luggage in the train station baggage hold and head to a traditional Finnish summer festival in a park in downtown Helsinki.  The festival is pretty cool and we get to catch some live Finnish music, eat some Finnish food, and mingle with the Finnish people in the sun.  A few drinks and some good music and we decide to head back to his place to relax and catch up for a bit.  Yan lives about 15 minutes by train outside of central Helsinki and it feels like a very quiet neighborhood from what I see.

We walk down to the local pub and shoot some pool for a bit.

He knows everyone sitting outside the bar and I get the feeling that life in this suburb of Helsinki is a very small community.  We head downtown to find some dinner at about 11pm and its still light out!  We walk around aimlessly until we find Zetor, a farmhouse style traditional meat and potatoes place that is so cool inside.  There are bars surrounding old tractors, the stools are made of old barrels, and it is generally a restaurant/bar with a traditional Finnish culture theme!  When in Rome, do as the Romans do... so I order the Reindeer, which was fabulous and came in a behemoth portion.  We die of food coma and pass out as soon as we get back to Yan's house...
