Sarah wakes me up and we head off to her Dad's house before hitting up her Grandpa's 88th bday at the Frankston RSL (Retired Service League). Quite a different party from the night before but a very good experience to meet a "full on" Aussie family. They are all extremely nice and I actually really enjoy myself.
We grab the ferry across the bay from Sorrento to Queenscliff which gives me a good view of the Melbourne bay and is a good way for us to kick off our road trip. We get the chance to stop in at Bell's Beach, where Point Break was filmed and home to every major surf company. The night's stop is in Apollo Bay at a B&B called The Dolphin which is an amazing place with a view that wasn't quite as advertised according to Sarah.
We hit up The Vista for an amazing seafood and wine dinner of calamari, crayfish and an amazing chocolate dessert to boot. Next stop, the local pub where we get a very "rough" local experience! We hang out with a pirate and some of his friends and wind up passing out on the couch after a long night out.
